With the themes aviation, industrial automation, logistics, transport, and personal identification, the most current, in vogue topics are represented on the conference program. Together with real-life users, a technology expert from the Harting Technology Group will present the theme, "Aviation: Identification of aircraft parts and MRO components." Under the trailblazing motto, "The World of Identification: AIDC/RFID," the provider of infrastructure and RFID system solutions will refer to innovative concepts for the aerospace sector. The lecture will be accompanied by a real-life case study. At the accompanying exhibition during the all-day event, experts from Harting will be available for discussions.

A Transponder for Aviation

Together with Lufthansa Technik Logistik and the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, the Harting Technology Group has developed a UHF RFID tag that meets the specific requirements of aviation. It is the first transponder of its kind in that it satisfies the high functional demands of maintenance in the aviation industry. Due to its compact design, it can be attached to almost all parts of an aircraft - from the chassis to the cockpit instruments. When mounted on metal, it can achieve a read range of 2.5 meters.
