Balluff is a partner of the international conference, led by "RFID im Blick" at CeBIT in Hanover on March 8th, 2012. With the core themes aviation, industrial automation, logistics and transport, and personal identification, the most current, in vogue topics are represented on the conference program. Oliver Pütz-Gerbig, Senior Product Manager of Business Unit Identification at Balluff, will present the topic „RFID-Applications in the Automotive Industry: New Solutions for Tracking & Tracing". At the accompanying exhibition during the all-day event, competent experts from Balluff will be available for discussions.

Automobile Production with RFID

In the automobile industry, RFID solutions optimize production processes by simplifying the identification of metal parts. For example, tags can be attached to engine blocks in the form of bolts. Inside, they contain product information and relevant process and quality data, thus increasing the transparency throughout the manufacturing process and improving the efficiency of the supply chain with RFID technology. For use in harsh industrial environments, there are particularly high demands being made on RFID components, controllers and RW-heads, no matter if it's HF or UHF technology. The company Balluff offers, among other products, high-temperature RFID tags that remain functional at up to 200 degrees Celsius. Typical applications include painting or coating equipment and production lines with drying zones with high temperature ranges.

Broad Product Range

Balluff employs more than 2,200 people worldwide. Production sites are located in Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, USA, Brazil, China and Japan. The product range includes inductive, optoelectronic, capacitive and magnetic field sensors, electromechanical position sensors, Micropulse linear displacement transducers, absolute and incremental encoders, electronic identification systems, as well as bus-compatible sensors.
