"The World of Identification: AIDC/RFID"
Assion Electronic is a partner of the International Conference, led by "RFID im Blick" at CeBIT in Hanover on March 8th, 2012. With the focal themes aviation, industrial automation, logistics and transport, and personal identification, the most current, in vogue topics are represented on the conference program. Marcel Schweda from Assion Electronic will present the topic "Safety at the airport". At the accompanying exhibition during the all-day event, competent experts from Assion Electronic will be available for discussions.
RFID at Airports Worldwide
A task just as elementary as complex for airport operators is the maintenance of runway flares. To simplify the associated activities, RFID technology can play a leading role. Therefore, the tags have to meet specific requirements: They have to be resistant to oil, bases and acids, and bear serious physical loadings. Marcel Schweda from Assion Electronic will report on a pilot project at a German major airport. Moreover, an access control system based on RFID reduces the number of criminal offences in the security zone of a major airport in South Africa.
