A simple complete solution to reduce stock shortages efficiently, effectively, and sustainably

„Basically the purpose of using RFID in retail is to close product gaps and to guarantee smooth availability of the products desired by the customer. Especially against the background of omni channel retailing and the corresponding challenges, exact stock overview and availability of goods is a major competitve advantage that is provided by Checkpoint solutions“, says Dominik Brosch, Global Account Manager at Checkpoint Systems, thus referring to the key points of Checkpoint's participation in the RFID Conference as an exhibitor.

Live Demo in the SpeedLab at the Booth of Checkpoint

At the RFID Conference, Checkpoint presents its RFID Compliance Display Solution live. Using this innovative solution, retailers can make sure that the desired article is also presented to the customer at the desired place. What benefits the new solution provides to retailers can be shown with the example of shoes: In retail, a preselection of shoes is in most cases presented on the sales floor. „Only if the corresponding sample articles are also presented at the right spot, there is a good chance that customers become attracted to them and decide to try them on. If articles are accidentially not even displayed, stolen, or taken to another shelf by customers or employees, then they are also unavailable for the customer“, explains Dominik Brosch who will also run the SpeedLab at the RFID Conference.

Who Should not Miss the SpeedLab Under Any Circumstances?

The SpeedLab predominantly addressed decision-makers and retail company representatives, looking for new solutions to improve the availability of goods, says Dominik Brosch. „If a customer does not find the desired article in the shelf at the decicive moment, this has a negative impact on buying behavior. Studies have shown that the customer changes the store after the desired article was not on stock 2,4 times on average. With the RFID Compliance Display Solution, Checkpoint has developed a simple complete solution that points out, how to reduce stock shortages efficiently, effectively, and sustainably and optimize operative processes on store level. As practice has already shown, the solution has an immediate, positive effect on sales.“

User friendly and Easy to Install Complete Solution

Checkpoint RFID Compliance Display Solution includes an RFID handheld reader, pre-coded RFID labels, and an RFID software. „The solution excels in high user friendliness and simple installation. The retailer is thus allowed to get a complete overview over the presented articles. Using the solution, turnover can be increased by two to five percent on average, in some cases even by up to ten percent. The planograph compliance can be increased to more than 99 percent“, Dominik Brosch presents the solution advantages and adds: „Within a very short period, employees can see whether a sample article is missing in the shelf. The solution also reduces the labor costs for stocktaking by 75 percent, since this can now be done automatically and does not have to be carried out manually anymore.“ This new RFID solution by Checkpoint is already chain wide applied in a North American department store. Besides shoes the solution can also be applied to other product groups.
