Ten times faster data processing

Siemens is extending its RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system Simatic RF200 to include readers in compliance with IO-Link Standard V1.1. The read/write speed of the new devices is more than ten times higher than the existing series. The new readers come with a high degree of protection, compact design, and a rugged technical set-up, which makes them ideally suited for use in harsh industrial environments and for integration in applications with tight installation spaces.

The Simatic RF210R, RF220R, RF240R, RF250R and RF260R readers for the Simatic RF200 IO-Link reader series are are now available for IO-Link Standard V1.1. The devices with their compact design, rugged technical set-up and high degree of protection are particularly well suited for use in harsh industrial environments and for integration in applications with tight installation spaces.

The new readers are capable of reading and writing at more than ten times the speed of the existing series. The devices can be connected to IO-Link master modules – either from Siemens or third party suppliers - via a standardized IO-Link interface.

Simatic RF200 is the compact RFID system of the Simatic RF product family. The RF200 product family includes cost-efficient HF (high frequency) readers which are particularly suitable for applications in intralogistics and small assembly lines. Existing readers compliant with the IO-Link standard V1.0 are still available.
