Rugged, compact and flexible – the new Simatic RF280R and Simatic RF380R read/write devices from the Simatic RFID portfolio from Siemens comply with many of the demands imposed by application in industrial environments. These include a compact design for space-saving installation, a high protection rating, simple engineering through integration in the TIA Portal using technology object “Ident” and an integrated antenna.
For the most stringent requirements
The Simatic RF380R read/write device is part of the RFID system Simatic RF300. This high-performance RFID system is designed to meet the most stringent standards in terms of speed, data volume and diagnostic functionality, and is around seven times faster than required by the ISO15693 Standard.
The new generation of the RF380R read/write device comes with a convenient set up guide for reliable determination of the ideal antenna position, the additional Mifare classic air interface, the mixed transponder mode and extended functionality for the simple integration of Moby I/E. Ranges of up to 240 millimeters as well as RS422 and RS232 interfaces round off the functions offered by the Simatic RF380R. The new generation of the Simatic RF380R read/ write device is mechanically and electrically fully compatible with the predecessor generation.
Solid and efficient
Simatic RF280R is an addition to the Siemens RF200 system, which works according to the international ISO15693 standard. In applications with lower performance requirements, this offers a cost-efficient alternative to the RF380R read/write device. The RF280R, which comes with an RS422 interface and integrated antenna, is particularly suited for use in dynamic applications.
