OPC Foundation organizes an OPC Interoperability Workshop in Phoenix on January 26, 2018

Press Releases | By OPC Foundation | 15 November 2017

The OPC Foundation is organizing its first workshop of 2018 in order to ensure that all OPC products continue working together. The gathered experts will validate interoperability for all required interfaces and functions, as well as validate interoperability for any optional interfaces where practical.

The foundation members will document interoperability issues that occur for purposes of adding clarity to the OPC specifications.

All OPC Foundation members are once again encouraged to use this upcoming test session as not only a mechanism to validate their products, but to also debug and diagnose any interoperability problems that may be discovered. This year's session will allow up to 60 vendors to validate OPC Unified Architecture, including information model testing for MDIS and PackML.

Unified Architecture Testing

The complete OPC Foundation technology portfolio is expected to be represented with Server and Client products supporting OPC Unified Architecture, including information model testing. Some of the models that will be tested include MDIS and PackML.

The OPC Foundation will also provide the latest development version of the CTT for evaluating each individual product against the latest automate testing. The CTT work will include configuration support.

The workshop will run from 1:00 PM on Monday, January 22, 2018 through Noon on Friday, January 26, 2018. OPC members wishing to attend can use the event page to register. All products brought for interoperability testing must be specified ahead of time.
